Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate the general public about the safety concerns regarding SMOKE ALARMS that may not be as safe as folks think.

Ionization SMOKE ALARMS are not really great at detecting smoke from smoldering fires (can take up to 45 minutes to sound alarm) but photoelectric SMOKE ALARMS are.  If you have ionization fire detectors in your home then the safest course of action is to add photoelectric SMOKE ALARMS to all suggested areas (bedrooms, hallways, kitchen, any other rooms and garage .

Ionization SMOKE ALARMS were the first to be developed and are less expensive than photoelectric detectors which is why the majority of homes have these but what is life worth... certainly $5-$10 per photoelectric SMOKE ALARM.

We think X-Sense SMOKE ALARMS are reliable and are of the highest quality.

We do offer a link to purchase X-Sense quality sensors along with others here. A percentage of sales are used to increase our reach to educate folks across America and around the Globe.

Three Us STATES
hAVE BANNNED IONIZATION SMOKE DETECTORS.

Two cALIFORNIA counties have ALSO bANNED THEM AS SINGLE USE DETECTORS.

Why?

Because all smoke detectors don't detect all types of fires.

85% of fires are slow burning or
smoldering Fires that if not detected
in time can cause
loss of consciousness or loss of Life.

Any alarm is better than none but
The right alarm will
save more lives!

Almost 3 out of 5 home fire deaths were caused by fires in properties with no smoke alarms (41%) or smoke alarms that failed to operate (16%).

20% of homes with smoke alarms
had alarms that were not operating
due to being disconnected.

Alarms don't work if disconnected, have dead battery or if it's a smoldering fire and your alarm is an ionization type.
